Nothing special here. Just a quick sketch I finished off fairly recently. The shading, as always, suffered in the scan (I'll upgrade to a better scanner one of these days.) Added a border in PS and adjusted the levels slightly so you could see the image....I tend to work up in the harder range of pencils which produce a fairly light image all around.
I hate its hand; there shall be no mentioning of its general crappiness or my inability to draw even remotely decent hands
Wow, I never thought much of it I guess. Thanks heaps!
I love the atmosphere in the Zelda games, especially the N64 ones, that's like the ultimate compliment

lol, you know I really don't think that pose is anything special. I mean, I always thought it was quite simple.....and I think I still have it pretty wrong. There's a reason why its cloak is covering its left hand
Thanks for the compliment though. I'm glad you think the hood is creepy. I like creepiness
I can't believe you couldn't draw someone in this pose if you wanted to though. No way.

With things like this I just start from absolute scratch, with a bubble figure. That way I know I have the pose right. That's why I always take so long to get anything done though. I spend way too much time perfecting the initial bubble dude and generally lose interest in the actual picture by the time I'm getting anywhere with it
Do you use the see-through/reverse trick? I find that really helps too.

I... ur... rarely do the bubble figure Or... I do the head and then somewhat a bubble figure but then I am too lazy to really pay that much attention to it, which makes me ignore it. In the end, that is what fucks up my anatomy on the pictures >_> Because I'm just too darn lazy
I... don't actually. Mainly because I don't see that it help me that much. But I probably should Sometimes I'm just way too cocky...
I guess it's better to be lazy and get stuff done than overly zealous and not get anything done....as strange as that sounds
I really think you should try out the reverse image thing. It really helps me improve things, when I actually get around to them. And its really simple to do, especially if you're working in photoshop or something similar

Devious Comments
I was envious of the pose before I even clicked on the thumbnail in my message center.
It just looks so cool, and the mood in it reminds me of the Zelda games on the N64

If you haven't played Tetris, you haven't played.

This is a pose that I have trouble with still
And the hood is just... creepy really, but kicks ass none the less

And yes, I have tried to draw this pose, but I never manage...
As if I didn't know that

I might... if I find it necessary
